can't type

I'm trying to register a plug-in. I can't type letters - it keeps pulling keyboard shortcuts instead of typing letters in the registration fields. This HAS to be some simple thing I'm missing but I can't figure it out..... for example, trying to type my name "todd", I press "T" and the TOOLS dialogue pops up.

Click on the Keyboard icon on the top right of the plugin to send keystrokes to the plugin rather than Cakewalk:

boom. Thank you so much! So much easier than trying to cut and paste words into the plugin. I've never had the happen with other plugs before! Have  a great weekend!
