I have a relatively short 808 sample that I want to turn into a sub. Are there any inbuilt features in cakewalk or any plugins that can do this ? Whenever I try this I end up with a very clicky sample since its almost impossible to loop a short wavelength without any features.

Won't it be better to find a sample that is what you want? There must be a zillion samples available most are free. Just google the name of what you want.

I'm assuming you just want a subsonic note, Most synths have these built in. Lot's of free analog synths too.

Try here for starters. https://plugins4free.com/

There's many ways but changing the sample you have probably isn't the best way.

You could layer a sine wave underneath from another plugin/synth and add the sub element.  But like the other guys have said there are loads of other samples or 808 plugins floating around you could use.

My own favourite is 808 Studio II which isn't free but sounds great and is very flexible with many flavours of 808 built into it's presets.

hi Mark. I just checked this out. Is it a bass synth only or has the 808 drums?
