I can't find my VST items

Hello,

I downloaded a couple of free VST items but I can't find them with Cakewalk. I know the location on my PC and I went to VST manager and added the location to scan but it didn't find them. I'm probably doing something stupid, please can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?

One thing to check is go back to the plugin manager and check the "excluded" files for VSTs as well. I've seen a few get put there for some reason or the other. They can usually be "enabled" on the same page.   After reloading CbB the first time after a Vst install you can usually see the new plugin being scanned at start up , and see your plugin count change. Make sure the DLL file "is" in the scan path.
