William Higgs
I've been a long time Cakewalk user (since the 90's). I just started a new project after several months of not using Cakewalk Bandlab at all. Now, all of the sudden, I'm having a newbie problem (or there's something malfunctioning hardware or cable wise). Anyway, I've laid down several MIDI tracks on this project with no problems at all. Now I am trying to lay down the first audio track and I can't get an input signal on that track in Cakewalk. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 for the interface and have all the settings correct as far as I can tell. The Scarlett 6i6 meter is showing audio input and the input echo is engaged on the track. Still, no sound. Any thoughts? I just opened the project back up and got this window: "Unable to open audio record device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use." John Vere
You probably know most of this but it will rule out an issue with your settings. You don’t use input echo on audio tracks. Use the direct monitoring system. Also open Mix Control and reset to the default set up to make sure that is correct
