I'm starting a new album and I'm looking for suggestions about how to work faster. It's not that I'm in a hurry as much as I feel like there's a lot of repetitive steps in setting up a new song that can be templated. I have already created a basic template which has the instruments and plug-ins that I use regularly already set up and labeled. (It's almost like having a band at my ready) As I brainstormed this process I think I can save a lot of repetitive work by adding to that template the basic sections laid out in the Arranger. The last few songs I worked on, I first created music for those sections and then I used the Arranger to lay out copies into a complete song. Then I edited the song as needed. Are there other tips you use or are the some good articles you've read that have tips like that?
