Cakewalk won´t record through audio interface on PC

Hello all,

I just installed cakewalk on my laptop as I used to work with this program many years ago. On my laptop it works fine and I can use my Tascam US122 interface with no problems.

Now I wanted to install the program on a normal PC so that I could leave it near my E-Drumkit and guitars. After installing all looked fine, but it doesn´t seem to receive any signal from the audio interface. Also when I hit record it gives a immediate error.

So I connected the beringer Q1202USB.... Same promblem. Works fine on the laptop, nothing on the PC. The PC was completely clean and Cakewalk and the interfaces drivers are the only things installed.

Any suggestions anyone?

What is the connection from your audio interface to PC?

What driver mode  do you have selected in Cakewalk?  You have to go to the preferences and select your audio interfaces in/outs. Do you see it in the HW preferences?  Is it selected?
