kitekrazy Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Never used this product and have version 2 or 3 maybe. Part of it was learning how to use it. 2

I brought 4 last year and only used it a little bit. Not that I don't like it, just limited time for all this great software. My brain is getting slower as I move into the Fall Season of my life.

Products sell better when they are loaded with info on how to use it right away. Plus I don't like their delivery system and trying to retrieve links. Edited November 29, 2021 by kitekrazy

Brian Walton Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 (edited) I wish it was easier to use and get it to provide results you are looking for, but it is pretty amazing software and is the cream of the crop to get realistic grooves that are not pre-made. As far as I can tell they also have a good liscensing method (even if the delivery system isn't exactly standard) I own everything they have, and should have gotten Jamcussion earlier in my journey. The tutorials on Youtube can only go so far. Seriously deep but that UI....

msmcleod Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 These video tutorials were invaluable for me - very long, but very detailed: Jamstix Tutorial 1 of 4 - Easy Way to Create Drum Tracks: https://youtu.be/o96TLgRjAq8 Jamstix Tutorial 2 of 4 - Covering All The Basic Operations: https://youtu.be/CzXMingzgBw Jamstix Tutorial 3 of 4 - Drum Module Mode, Song Sheet, & The Brain: https://youtu.be/gLpmv6XwsVk Jamstix Tutorial 4 of 4 - Options, The Bar Editor, & Final Thoughts: https://youtu.be/dVW9H20F94Y The tutorials cover Jamstix 3, but are equally applicable to Jamstix 4. The most useful for me was the third video, which gives an explanation as to how the Jamstix brain works. This is what you need to know if you want to push Jamstix in a particular stylistic direction, or want it to play something based on existing MIDI tracks. 5 4
