Ok, I'll be that person . . . Since I am new to the TT ecosystem, the EZkeys Modern Pop MIDI pack: Is it truly MIDI that can be used with non-TT software (e.g., Ableton), or is it some sort of "proprietary" MIDI data, which can only be used with TT EZ Keys?

Midi files can be dragged from the  EZkeys plugin to a DAW, At that point they're regular midi files.

I don't own EZ Keys, just SD and EZMix.

I haven't bought any EZKeys MIDI packs, but EZDrummer and SD packs seem to be regular MIDI files. They are installed in the same location as the extensions.

That makes EZkeys midi useless. EZkeys really shines with it's browser and song builder.

The EZKeys Dream Machine and String Machine are both on sale for $39.

Has anybody got either of them yet? Is that a good deal?

I particularly liked Dream Machine for its Rhodes Mk7, Celesta, Marimba and Xylophone. 
String Machine is also nice, but to a lesser extent. More of a one trick pony, yet a fine Solina at that.

Speaking of new Toontrack deals, is anybody noticing $70 for EZDrummer 2 at bigfishaudio? Is that a rare sale or how often do they for that price? I'm in no hurry....

I've never seen it lower, and often going for more $$$ second-hand.

Agreed. But I still like TT stuff. I just got into uJam stuff. And it's not bad at all. I just ain't ready to give up on TT!!

I got both, haven't used either yet. But I do like to mess around with them. They are good. The best? IDK 'bout that!! I am VERY limited in my sample libs compared to some of ya'll!! : )

But I do like them.

[edit] I got the midi pack from T&S. Didn't realize I didn't have that one!!
