I  bought this program years ago and used it all the time, both for my work as a publicity writer and as a songwriter.  The problem was that they made it extremely difficult to move it whenever I got a new computer.  In those days, they didn't have anything like a de-install/re-install.   I was always on the phone with them all the time.  Without their internet registration, it didn't work.  Finally they went to subscriiption, which meant the $100 I gave them was trashed.

I bought a year of it on subscription. but I don't think they improved it much beyond what I had already paid for. 

Now there are insanely good programs for the iPad.  Lots of them. They all do different things.   You don't need to pay monthly and having a few of them beats Masterwriter.  But it's not as simple and convenient. 

So I might pick up another year at this price, because it is handy.

That's a cool program, it sucks that it's subscription now.
