Do I hear an echo?  ?

So glad this is my last year.  I can't wait until November is over.   Then I collapse in a heap.  I'll be reading your posts in bed.

One positive thing is I have only been able to make  big purchases so far--Arturia V collection update, IK TS 3.5, and Beyer-Dynamic DT 770 PRO headphones.

There's a lot of stuff I want, but I don't know if I'll find time to buy them.  Typing, typing, typing... and my wife mentioned something about a turkey today.

I've noticed far more emails incoming than ever before, but honestly most had nothing in the headline that made me want to even open them. This is what happens when the "sales" are year round - and the excuses for sales become increasingly lame - come traditional "proper" sale time there's nowhere left to go.

Sooo what is your current top 5 of sales that are really worth it, in the sense that they once in a lifetime, or at least year?

I can tell you the BEST deal going right now...but it's 'spensif...

BBC Orchestra Core (if you have discover) - Buy it first
(This MUST be done it TWO (2) separate transactions)
Then go back and buy "The Ton" for $90 and Media Toolkit
for $29...and THAT gets you just over the $349 for Apertur3 FREE!
That's 75% Off the complete package...that's a pretty SCHWEET deal!
***Alternately, if you already have BBC Core, the you get Albion One
and The Ton, in one transaction and get Apertur3 FREE!

Softube Amp Room for $40.50 after code BLACKWEEKEXTRA...smokin' deal

Not much else that I can think of off the top of my head...

#1 is a CRAZY GOOD deal though!

To be fair though, I did pick up 8Dio's Deep Solo Cello and Viola for less than $40 each and Fluffy Audio's Trio Broz Viola was only $29 USD and sounds really nice and is very playable (unlike 8Dio's libraries, which I think I may not bother with anymore, the scripting is just not where it should be, IMO; it's when I picked up Fluffy Audio's library that it really struck me how disappointing 8Dio's inferior playability is -- and I like Troel's, but he oversells everything and his company really doesn't put as much effort into scripting and optimizing libraries as do many of their competitors; still, I got the libraries so cheap, I'm not unhappy, I just wish they were more user friendly).

hi Larry, just working through the logic on this....

are you saying that:

BBCSO core is cheaper if you have Discover ? (tick - done)

The Ton is discounted if you have BBCSO core (it's £100 currently in the UK) ?

Why 2 transactions?

If you do them all in ONE transaction, then you lose the discount on one of the two
between The Ton, and BBC Core, and it makes the price higher...luckily, you don't
have to do it all in ONE transaction to get Apertur3, because it's your TOTAL
expenditures during the Black Weekend that qualifies...you can do it in 12 transactions
as long as you break the $349 mark...

The only deal (so far) that I think is exceptional is Arturia's FX Collection 2 for $100 or less. But you only get that price IF you already own something of theirs. I only own one thing (Rev Plate 140) and qualified. That's like 30 quality plugins for $100.

Everything else so far seems like the usual bi-annual sale that we'll see again in the spring. Although that Spitfire Black Weekend Collection (Albion Neo, Bernard Hermann, Alternative Strings and Aperture) for $700 seems quite good in my opinion, IF you want those specific instruments. I wish their was a steeper discount for those that already own other Albion stuff though.
