I'd bet anyone who paid $500 for a software EQ will swear by it to avoid looking like a fool.

I don't have them but for the price of the two, I'd rather get the FabFilter Total Bundle (or the Melda complete bundle; or a Voxengo premium membership). That's just me though - I'm sure the Maat EQs are worth it if you need such precision EQs.
