Launchpad X as a midi controller?

Hi guys.. I'm thinking of buying launchpad X and using it as a controller for cakewalk.

Is this possible/compatible? I know launchpad is designed for ableton but maybe I can midi map it to do stuff on cakewalk?

It would definitely work as a melodic controller in Cakewalk.  It's notes certainly can be used to trigger things, and it has several control modes.  I don't think you'd have the optimal feature set though without a lot of configuration.
