RICHARD HUTCHINS Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Hi If I've asked this before please forgive me. I know its happened before but I cant remember what the fix was. I have a full song ready to export. Done this dozens of times, convert to MP3 etc etc. all with no problem. Only thing different is that this time I used the master fader to fade the song out this new song at the end, ( I usually draw the fade out on the tracks with a mouse but figured this was a quicker method) but when I try to export, it quickly processes the song and just exports the last fade out. So I know this is the problem but what am I doing wrong? Richie
RICHARD HUTCHINS Posted November 13, 2021 Author Posted November 13, 2021 Update; sitting here trying to figure it out myself, I highlighted the full timeline and this time it exported the full song not just the fade out. But still doesnt answer my question as to why did I suddenly have to do this? Never had to before??
John Vere Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 FYI. The new export dialogue has very precise control over the song’s end now. Check out the Range dialogue
msmcleod Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 The Export Audio dialog respects selection, so if you've only got the end fade out selected, that's all it'll export. For a complete song export, either select nothing (CTRL + SHIFT + A), or select everything ( CTRL + A) before opening the Export Dialog. Personally, I prefer to go with no selection when using the Export Audio dialog.
RICHARD HUTCHINS Posted November 13, 2021 Author Posted November 13, 2021 Thanks all, I think I understand. John, are you referring to the latest update? I havent updated yet but I will soon.
