the buss

so as i understand it when i insert a send from a track pre fader to a buss the buss can now control all of said tracks volume.but it's not.what am i missing?jack c.

A send to a buss does not allow the bus to controll the the tracks volume. If you want the bus to control the volume of all the tracks sent to it you must route the ouput of the track to the bus. A send just takes a copy of the tracks audio and "sends" it to the Bus in addition to going through the normal track routing.
