us caesar
Hi As the title says, my MIDI pads are significantly louder than keys, no matter if they're assigned to the same instrument or not. I'd like to note that I already set the velocity of my keys to the max on my MIDI software editor but the pads are still louder. Is there any solution or workaround to this on Cakewalk? I'm thinking of just separating key and pad tracks everytime so I can change the volume per track. However, there are so many volume knobs to choose from! I don't know if I should raise the volume on the VSTi or the input/output knobs I find on the left side window.
John Vere
Pad and keyboard velocity curve is set in the hardware not the software. The software records what it received. Your pads might not even be velocity sensitive or they are set higher than the keyboard. Read the manual on how to set this.
