Ronman
I want to, for example, double a melody line (in MIDI) down an octave (or some other interval). How can I copy/paste events in the same track but instead of doubling what's there, paste down an active (or some other interval)?
RobertWS
You can't do it at the same time but the steps are easy. 1) Do a copy on the line. 2) Transpose the line. 3) Paste the line (the original line which is still in the copy/paste buffer)
Kalle Rantaaho
Or select the line and Ctrl+Shift-drag it to the desired position. Edited October 21, 2021 by Kalle Rantaaho 1
Toy
It may not be the usual method at the moment, but you can do many things with CAL. You have to make your own script to do complicated things, but ... As an example of a simple CAL, a major 7th chord is created with the specified range as the root. This is the one that was attached as a sample in the past CakeWalk. Is it still there?
