red color on the left in track view or in the console

Hi. Opening a new project, I am surprised to find red marks on tracks, in the very left in the track view or at the very bottom in the console.
I never saw that before. What are they for ? Thanks in advance for your replies.

It's a control surface setting (WAI = Where Am I) which shows which channels a control surface is controlling.

Thank you, Kevin. But why does it suddenly appear ? I never use surface controlling.
