Nio Sebez Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Hello colleagues, I share this instrumental song that I am doing. It's a version of an old flamenco song. I have put bass, drums and keyboards. I like the way it sounds. What is your opinion? https://niosebez.bandcamp.com/track/duelo-de-navajas 1

David Sprouse Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Bravo! The guitar was a little too perfect I think, needs some swing and humanization.

Hello, thanks for commenting. What do you mean, solo or rhythm guitar? Edited October 12, 2021 by Nio Sebez
David Sprouse Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 The solo lead sounded too perfect to me. Was it quantized?

antler Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 It's nice - sparse but effective arrangement. The lead guitar might benefit from a tiny bit of humanisation/randomisation, and the note attacks sound quite rigid on the faster phrase openings. I enjoyed the listen though - well done!

I can't do that humanisation with melodyne because is not midi, the sólo was played by myself with my guitar.. Edited October 20, 2021 by Nio Sebez
musekamp Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Nice song and good playing! I like the overall sound of the combo and the way you bring in the keyboard strategically. My only suggestion would be to try to vary the dynamics a little more. Maybe start off a bit more gradually, or even drop out everything except guitar at some point and build back up. Anyway, good work! Not sure if you're looking for suggestions but my comments are meant to be constructive so I hope they come across that way
jwnicholson78 Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 I really liked the arrangement. Guitar sounded great. I do agree with other comments that the lead was maybe a little too quantized.

It is not actually finished, it lasts only 2 minutes and little. Possibly I will make some arrangement before closing it.
