jack c. Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 i thought that if ya send a few tracks to a buss that when ya lower said buss all volumes go down?jack c.
Andres Medina Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Not exactly: if you lower the bus fader, the level of what you hear decreases, but the source tracks are not affected. If you want to lower the volume of a bunch of tracks, there are several ways. Two of them: 1. Select all the tracks you want, hit Ctrl and drag one of the levels down. All faders will go down. 2. Group the tracks: select the tracks, right click on one of them, select group, choose a color. All tracks will be locked on this parameter together. 1

Andres Medina Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 You could check your signal flow to see how the audio is going from one module to the next. There are so many ways to route the audio inside CW...! There are sends, aux tracks, etc- Is worth investing a little time understanding the signal flow inside CW. 1

Michael Vogel Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 You need to be sure what source you are actually monitoring/hearing. You may be moving a fader but not really monitoring/listening to that buss. If you’re new to this then check out the Reference Guide for a picture that shows how audio is routed throughout Cakewalk. See the section on Signal Flow starting on page 943. That will give you a general overview. You can download the most recent Cakewalk Reference Guide from May 2021 https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/Cakewalk Reference Guide.pdf Links to updates are posted in the main Cakewalk by Bandlab page in the pinned threads above.
