0 Htrae Letap Posted September 18, 2021 Author Posted September 18, 2021 hello, it is still not working. It is showing this message: "unable to open audio playback device. Device may not support the current project's audio format." i am using asio and connected with a midi with my casio ctk 3500 Is my laptop too powerful for this software? this is my laptop: ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 15.6" QHD Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - 1TB SSD - Eclipse Grey - Eclipse Grey
0 John Vere Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 If you are using your laptop sound system then do not use ASIO. Use WASAPI. There are known issues with Real tech ASIO driver.
0 John Vere Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 I just watched Mikes video and he has people using asio4all. Shame. Can’t recommend that one.

There is no such thing as "too powerful." What audio interface do you have?
0 Kurre Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 It's not clear where you expect the sound to come from. In the preferences/audio/playback and recording select wasapi instead of asio. In the preferences/audio/devices - output drivers probably will have realtek. Select that. The audio track output is master. Change to that if it isn't. If it should come from the Casio there need to be a audio cable from the laptops audio out to Casios audio in.
