Some way to shorten default synth output names?

When I create an instrument track, the default track name for the synth output is way too long to be useful.

As an example: Xpand!2 1 Primary Output

That's 24 characters, including the spaces, when the field can only display 14.

All I really need is Xpand!2 1, which would fit easily. I don't need to see the "Primary Output," actually I can't see it anyway because it's hidden. It's a tedious pain to have to change it every time.

Is there some setting I can change to suppress the "Primary Output" part of this? If not, I'll feature request it.

I never use Xpand!2, but I was curious about this issue.  So I used three different methods to insert it into "MyBlankTemplate:" (1) from the menu bar [Insert Soft Synth], (2) with the right-click context menu [aka the Create Track Wizard], and (3) by dragging / dropping from the Browser.

The default track names respectively were as follows:    .  I didn't get "Primary Output."  Not sure why you get it.

 It must be something to do with how you choose to insert the synth get this with all choices of Simple instrument track.

 

I get this when I choose a split instrument track.

It's what the VST exposes to Cakewalk (I get this on some synths and not on others).
