good video on Syntronic by IKM & Rudess. I find I like the Syntronic when you want a "in your face" more modern sounding legacy synth sound. I use Arturia if I want to use a more real legacy sound. (If that makes any sense. )

I think that "in your face" aspect is because most Syntronik presets are heavily effected. As Jordan suggests, turn the effects rack off, and Syntronik is as "dry as a bone".
