Heaven forbid Izotope should ever offer any new feature free to its loyal (already bought) customers or offer an upgrade and/or crossgrade to RX Advanced for a reasonable price. Unless I see a big surprise, this is the year I finally get off the Izotope upgrade train. And no interest in their subscription plan. Sad, because they do make good products.

As for me, RX8 is almost the same as RX7 Adv, that I use every single day in my work.
So I hope the upgrade PPS4 to PPS6 (+$13.44 DeluxeBucks) for $268.98 will be OK.
I'll wait a little for JRR: there were some sales like iZotope RX Post Production Suite 5 Upgrade from RX PPS 4 for $251.16. A little better for me.

Add here I just got RX Post Production Suite 5 some 21 days ago. I'm going to email them and see if I qualify for a free RX Post Production Suite 6.

Support said I should reach out after the release and they would "assist" me since I purchased just slightly before the current window.

 Good on them.

I have been refraining a bit from the Waves WUP convo - but have been thinking on a relative comparison why complain about Waves and WUP for all that Waves stuff for a max $240  - when we all know iZotope on an annual basis charges pretty substantially for new version upgrades that in some cases are not very much improved from the prior version.

I guess in summary I have more discontent with the iZotope loyalty / upgrades offers than the Waves WUP.  Although both can be avoided or mitigated if you space out the update purchases prudently with a bit more time instead of buying right when asked.

Silly question - Does anybody know if the Rx trial is version dependent? (if I trial RX 8 Adv. for a month, will I be able to trial RX 9 Adv for another month if need be? or will it fail to authorize because I've already tried the previous version of the product?)

Edit: ? I attempted to install the trial and it shows as "expired" in the product portal even though I have never installed Rx8Adv (but I already have Rx8Std and it has been installed for a while, maybe that is what it's finding?)

RX trial doesn't allow you to save.  It's not a trial, it's a demo.  See this page:

The RX 8 plug-ins offer full functionality during the 30 day Trial period.

The RX 8 Audio Editor offers full access to all editing tools and processing modules but saving, exporting and batch processing are not available during the 30 day Trial period.
