Steven Clifford
Hello. I'm playing some midi files in Cakewalk and I have the staff view. I'm trying to add chord symbols to the song. I clicked on the draw pencil but not much luck. Is there a way to automatically add chords to the whole song by clicking on a button and they are all added automatically? I think it would be difficult to add each chords 1 at a time on each bar. There is another program I can use that I can click on add track data and all the chords appear automatically above the staff. I'd like to do this in cakewalk. Thanks
Byron Dickens
No. The staff view is rather rudimentary. Cakewalk is not really intended to be a notation app. Edited September 1, 2021 by bdickens
57Gregy
You can add chord diagrams, it just can't be done automatically.
Steven Clifford
Thanks for the replies. The other program I use is Jammer, where I can load the song then click on add track data. Then it populates the whole song with the chord symbols. Problem is that some of the chords are wrong. Is there any other program available that I can add chords to? Thanks again
Michael Vogel
You could try Notion. It’s now owned by Presonus and part of Studio One.Not sure if a standalone version is still available but its a simple matter over going to the Presonus site and have a look around.
