Waves is a black hole. While they have many good and useful plugins, the Waves shells SUCK BIG TIME! And don't get me started on WUP. 

If you have never installed a Waves plugin, stop while you're ahead. I got so sick of dealing with all of the Waves BS, that I installed ZERO of the couple of dozen plugins I have licenses for when I replaced by DAW computer.
