cclarry Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 WHY it PAYS to do a comparison - PB is currently offering the Softube Vintage Essentials Bundle, which consists of Harmonics, Tape Echo, and Tape for $175https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/39-FX-Bundle/7784-Softube-Vintage-Essentials And that seems like a pretty good deal....UNTIL Softube Tape is $39https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/44-Saturation/3416-Tape Harmonics is $49https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/44-Saturation/4837-Harmonics And Tape Echoes is $59https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/10-Delay/7729-Tape-Echoes Now, doing the math 39 + 49 + 59 = $147! $28 savings by buying the plugins individually over buying the bundle! 2 1 1 6
InstrEd Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 Now we have to do math while we shop? who would of thought ? 4
Byron Dickens Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 That's about like when I got IK's total Studio Deluxe, which includes Miroslav Philharmonik, for less than Miroslav was by itself. 2
InstrEd Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 I calculated that the IK group buy has to get up to 6 free to have me take a serious look. 3

paulo Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 Yeah, never ever take a PIB "sale" price at face value. Their marketing technique seems to mainly involve putting on a blindfold, sticking some pins in the product list, adding a random amount onto the price of them, then taking slightly less than that off again and calling it a sale. 1
Jeslan Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Not exactly about this but I think quite related. I have seen this kind of thing happening in big physical grocery stores where I am from. Like those high discount packs where you buy many of the same thing so each one is supposed to be cheaper, until you decide to actually make the calculation yourself with the original price. Of course after it has been noticed it ends being "just a mistake from the person printing the labels". 1
