I’m leaning towards AR1 because of the upcoming orchestral foundations modular system Christian discusses in video I posted above at 12:58.  Seems you will be able to mix and match which sounds pretty cool.

Well I opted to get the upgrade from East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold to Platinum.
I had forgotten that I only had Gold, so that was the most affordable thing for me to do...
I REALLY wanted AR1....but even the payments would have been tough...

For you I think that made the most sense.  Christian said he is at heart a drum and bass producer and I mostly produce electronic music and can barely play my electric guitars so what do we know hahah

Would love to hear your thoughts on this upgrade, Lars. I’m also still on EWSO Gold (though did upgrade HO). How much and how good?

How much?  $99

How good?  IDK...still waiting on the order to be approved?

My main leaning towards HCD is that you get the Opus Engine and Orchestrator, and I already have Hollywood Orchestra Diamond (old version)...
and the fact that it's 66% off as opposed to 51% off....decisions decisions...

Orchestrator is with the Hollywood orchestra, not the Hollywood choirs. Those are 2 different products.

Finally got me licenses!!!

EWSO Platinum is 117 Gb.  48 Gb for Strings, 34.5 Gb for Brass, 13.8 for Percussion, 24.2 for Woodwinds...
24 bit 44.1 Khz Sample Rate. (Platinum Plus only adds the 16 bit version - which I don't care about - I still
have the Gold 16 bit Version for "scaled back use"!)
Just started downloading, so will post back when I get a chance to use (in Opus)!

Wow!  I just played around with BBCSO Core (an upgrade for me from Discover) and the sound of this library is extraordinary!

And so simple to setup and use (I cheated and downloaded Cubase templates from Spitfire).

This is, far and away, the best $240 I've ever spent.   I'm going to be up *very* late tonight.

Strings are LOVELY.

Just some info...Opus just runs the "Play" interface for the
"Old" Instruments.  The only one's that received the Opus Facelift -  a "new" interface, are
the Opus Edition Hollywood Orchestra Instruments.

Much difference to EWQLSO Gold, Lars?

Yes Fleer!  Much better sounding!  Not that Gold didn't sound good,
But these samples are far superior IMO.  They really sound lovely!
(especially at the pricepoint!)

When the upgrade from HOD to HODO goes to $99 I might consider it...
$495 will NEVER happen!

And, for what it's worth, this is TWICE the size of Abbey Road One,
and almost 6 times the size of BBC Orchestra Core

Been downloading HO Opus Gold today to get a feel of the Orchestrator tomorrow before I download HO Opus Diamond. Next I’ll compare with BBCSO Pro. Fun times ahead :)

I’ve always been told size doesn’t matter…
