cclarry Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 Roland has released 'Zenology FX'. It allows you to use the over 90 effects available in their 'Zenology' virtual instrument on any sound source you like. A trial for the rest of 2021 is available to download through the Roland Cloud client. https://www.roland.com/us/products/rc_zenology_fx/
TheSteven Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 (edited) "Try ZENOLOGY FX for free as part of any Roland Cloud 30-day trial membership." Different subscription levels: Looks like $99 gets you a permanent license to ZENOLOGY Pro and temp access to other goodies Edited August 2, 2021 by TheSteven
Vernon Barnes Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I have the core subscription, its pretty common for them to make "test drive" items available to tempt you into a higher level of sub. I have installed these FX but not tried them yet.
Vernon Barnes Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 (edited) I just had a quick run through. Its a very nice suite of effects but most will have these things covered elsewhere. I did like the step phaser and step flanger presets however, they are a little different. Its just a single plugin and once you open it you select the effect type etc. It looks like it will be part of the core subscription, so I get to keep these as long as I pay my $3 a month. Roland have been pretty good at adding a couple of Zeanology sound packs a month, so I am happy on the sub, at the moment. Edited August 2, 2021 by Vernon Barnes

It just gets you Zenology which is a sort of ROMplier but its got a good and ever expanding library of sounds and it has a very low footprint. Now with the effects added it made it an even better buy.

Looking at my post again when I read your response to me I realized I may have come across as saying you were not getting a good deal. But it's really the opposite. I may look into this. $36 a yr? When you stop the sub, what happens?
