jay frank
i was trying to use the Korg ARP Odyssey VST on a project almost everything on the synth has a MIDI CC number, except for the Vibrato setting i think this is because on the real synth, the Vibrato is controlled by a pressure-sensitive button thru some experimentation, i found that the MIDI NRPN setting could allow the mod wheel on my MIDI controller (x-board 61) to control the vibrato then i did a automation lane assigned to the vibrato, and set Remote Control and set that to the mod wheel via MIDI learn, which has worked in the past this is because i am unable to right click on the button in the synth window and set remote control directly anyway, this worked well, was happy with it UNTIL i tried to record the track the midi input came in, it was recorded in automation lane, but it no longer controlled the vibrato ive tried every combination of MIDI read and/or write controls, and changed the input button to THRU, and whatever the other option is but i have had no luck with this problem maybe theres some other way to do this, but i havent been able to figure it out thanks for any help! bitflipper
So the NRPN events show up in the automation lane and the Event List, but they are not actually controlling the synth?
jay frank
yes, well i dont know about the event list, but it shows and registers in the automation lane, it just doesnt control the synth if Record is on otherwise it works fine Edited July 27, 2021 by jay frank
