[Solved]Yamaha Steinberg Driver continually installs on opening CbB

Working here on my friend's machine...

He used to have a steinberg usb interface which I replaced for him with an maudio... It's working fine.

 

Problem? Even though I've removed every reference to the yamaha steinberg driver, opening CbB Causes a dialog to open forcing a re-install of their driver. I have searched all Cake settings and find no reference to this old driver.

 

The system works fine, but the dialog repeats itself 3 times in a row with no escape available. What am I missing?

Great, but what did you do to solve it? Maybe somebody else could benefit.

Probably they removed it in the registry   It takes over your timing master sometimes so not a good one to have if you don’t need it
