Riley Hirshey
I'm brand new to music production and I can't seem to figure out why the oscillation knob, resonance knob, LFO knob, etc. don't do anything when I turn them. I'm using the Nektar LX25+ MIDI controller if that helps. I want to mess around and see how they impact the sound of the instruments but as of now they do nothing. Maybe I'm not using it right or something, any help is appreciated!
bradleyross
There is software that will read all of the MIDI messages coming from a device. If you are using a DAW, you may have to pair what you want to do with a knob or button on the device. Look for ¨learning MIDI messages¨ or something like that in the manual. If you are familiar with MacOS programming, I have some code I have been playing with. All of those knobs are probably sending control change messages on one of the channels. Look at the Korg and Samson websites. I seem to recall something there on using DAW´s with the devices and it would be the same method as dealing with yours. Byron Dickens
You have to map your controller to whatever you're controlling.
