I have Gulfoss, would I need Soothe? I like the idea of Soothe auto taming resonances but doesn't Gullfoss do this too?

If you’ve got Gullfoss, you don’t need Soothe. Gullfoss rules the Q waves.

 Gullfoss is pretty amazing, if you already have it you might not need or want Soothe. I bought Soothe first before Gullfoss was released but I'm not disappointed. Sometimes Soothe gets me better results over Gullfoss.

Soothe is dynamic EQ focused on mid to high frequencies. I usually prefer using that on tracks for de-essing, taming brass, horns, guitars.

Gullfoss gets used more on the 2 bus or mastering but also on certain instruments tracks or stems. On mixes it's usually barely moving making very fine adjustments.

Sometimes neither work & I'll reach for another plugin type altogether! YMMV
