cclarry Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 $198 Majestica features a 240 piece orchestra and is designed for composers and producers who desire the most epic symphonic sound. We spared no expense in production, and it shows - it stands unrivaled on the market as the ultimate large scale orchestral production tool. Here
Amicus717 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I have heard very mixed things about this library. Anyone have it? I hardly need it, but I'm curious anyway...
Matthew Sorrels Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 No one seems to use it. Not really sure why. Since I broke down and got Albion II this morning it's not for me, but I wonder if I would have decided to get this if timing was a bit different.
Dave Maffris Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 This could be a very fine deal, given it's usual price ($598). I have read good things about it, but not sure if it's worth the deal.
Tapsa Kuusniemi Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 My take on Majestetica is this: I find it too wet and too large. With orchestral sections there is a certain point after which the coherence of the section starts to disintegrate and the sound loosen up and looses it's size. What I have heard of Majestetica this is definitely the case. I think this and 8Dios Legion series are a gimmick to make us think that we need more players to sound bigger, when in fact the size comes from the orchestration.
Amicus717 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 It struck me as a blunt-force instrument with a pretty limited scope. Tapsa's take makes a lot of sense to me, especially within that context. Anyway, I picked up Loegria also (and am really liking it), so that's my purchase for the month.
