latency delay when overdubbing

There has always been a slight monitoring delay when adding new tracks, but it appears to have gotten worse when I had to switch from the ASIO driver when I got a new computer.

Any suggestions or settings adjustments I can make?

Do you have an audio IF or are you using the onboard HW? If you have an audio IF have you installed its driver?

You can’t use ASIO with on board audio. It has many known issues. Always use WASAPI with on board. But to not have issues with round trip latency you need to use a proper audio interface with ASIO drivers.
