The DuoTone series takes a unique approach to routing audio inside the plug-in to offer you a wide range of posibilities not available to you when you use a "standard" effects plug-in, here's a video explaining the routing approach: As you can see in essence the DuoTone effects are multi-effect plugins with multiple configuration options and you can get subtle to wildly over-the-top results with them. Each effect comes with a set of presets to start out, and are delivered as Windows VST3 and MacOS VST3 and AU plug-ins.
