Staff View - note input/edit - defaults to start of measure?

Apparently, there is a new setting in Cakewalk that has changed how notes are inputted or edited in Staff View(?).

Every time I enter a note or try to edit it by sliding it up or down, it moves to the start of the measure.

Is there a way to change or turn off this setting?

check your Snap To settings.

Just my 2 cents...I find it much easier to edit in piano roll while looking at Staff View
