Record at half tempo?

I'm using Nanosynth MIDI. I insert and audio track and arm it to record. Hit record and it's just dandy except it's running at half the tempo.

I vaguely remember this has something to do with key bindings but can NOT find a solution.Doubling the speed of the recorded audio produces ugly sound.

Set your audio clips to absolute time, then you can set your tempo to whatever you want - the audio clips will ignore it.
