Can You Hide Ellipse Dots In Track View?

I was just wondering if there is a way to disable or hide these dots.

I tried changing the color of them in the preferences but it doesn't do the trick as the odd and even tracks have a slightly different shade of gray (which I like).

Is there a way to simply hide them?  I know they are useful but I just don't like them.

Yes if the background colour for odd and even tracks is the same - make (theme editor/colour preferences) the colour of the ellipses the same as the background.  If you've gone for different colours, you just have to pick one that is as good as possible.

ah i thought so.  I wish there was a way just to not have them.  I thought there was once an option for something like "Show clips pane ellipse", no?

I did too but either misremembered or it's gone!

What's the purpose of those dots?

I made them disappear using the same color as the background.

It shows there's data in a track after the current time (there are no ellipses after the last clip in a track).
