Midi Keyboard ignored by Cakewalk

Hello all,

i got a problem.. if i make a track with an Instrument, like a Synth, i cant get out any tone out of cakewalk with my Midi-Keyboard.

The MIDI knob didnt response, when i press any key on the keyboard.
In the preferences my keyboard is marked and ready to go.

Any suggetions ?

Ah.. the keyboard worked a few weeks ago perfectly.
