Doug Rintoul
I am trying to decide whether to get Advanced Steel String Guitar. Hard to find any good reviews on it. I do like the sound of it. I wonder when the sale ends.
fret_man
Hi Doug, in my opinion AmpleSounds and OrangeTree have much better guitar sounds. I suggest waiting until one of them to go on sale.

Larry Shelby
OTS and Amplesound are different...not necessarily "better"... and even they have their problems.. 8DIO are "niche" instruments, and even on sale Amplesound and OTS are more expensive. I have ALL of the Amplesound Instruments, and quite like them. All depends on what you're really after, and how much you're willing to spend. The only time OTS is even somewhat reasonable is during the Group Buys... For the price, I'd say this is a good deal...
Reid Rosefelt
I have the Steel String Guitar, which I bought for $18 a few years ago. I highly doubt all of them will ever sell for that price, but probably one or two will. 8dio prices their stuff all over the place. A guitar could turn up as a free gift with purchase for all I know. Even though I have a lot of guitars from other companies, I do like the sound of this Steel String. There are a lot of really cool-sounding preset mixes. The main problem I have it is the strumming engine--because it doesn't loop. You want the strumming to continue when you hold down the keys, but it doesn't.
