Cant get Addictive Drums beats to line up in synch

Ive just bought AD2 for Cakewalk, and so..I drag a drum beat onto the track, fine so far. It last for 4 bars only so I need to extend it to the whole song; I assumed it was a simple task just copy and paste it, but I cannot for the life of me get the new  pasted in beat to line up and play in time with the one that starts the song. Tried everything, please help a newbie!!

Not sure what you're doing wrong.  But if you highlight the clip and then hit Ctrl + L, it will turn it into a Groove Clip.  Then you can just drag the right edge to extend it over and over again.

When you're copying and pasting the Addictive Drums clip, make sure you are pasting it right on the beginning of a measure. Many of those clips end an eighth or a sixteenth before the visual end of the measure and if you butt them right up to each other your timing will be off. Cakewalk will help you -- set the "snap" value to whole notes before you start pasting.

The groove clip looping is the fastest way   To make this go faster I  zoom out. Then you can drag it 150 measures in no time

Thanks everyone, it is starting to make sense now, I'll try it both ways.

For me both ways are OK. But copy and paste has some issues if, after copy and paste, you wanto to delete some measures at the end.
