steambc
I've come back from a long spell of being away and didn't even know that Bandlab took over Cakewalk. So I did the latest update of Cakewalk Platinum through the Bandlab Assistent, and loaded up a piano song which I had recorded using TruePiano, and saw that Cakewalk can't find TruePiano. It looks like some other VSTs are missing too. I couldn't find TruePiano in my vst folders. Can you guys please get me up to speed? Does the new CW Platinum get rid of some of the older VSTS and plugins? Should I just uninstall everything and reinstall CW by Bandlab? If I do, will I lose more vsts? Thanks for any help. msmcleod
Firstly DO NOT UNINSTALL SONAR!! You'll lose all of the free stuff that came with it that doesn't come with CbB. You just need to replicate the VST directories within CbB so that they match what you've got in SONAR Platinum:
Grem
You can add the correct vst folders where your plugins are in CbB. It should pick them up if it knows where to look.
John Vere
The big question is do you still have your original installs of Sonar on this machine? If so then all you need to do is as above and make sure all your VST folders are included in the scan. CbB is the latest version of Splat but if this is a new machine with no other past installs then you won't have a lot of the VST's that came with the older versions. So the recommended path is to first open Command Center and install everything using that. NOW instal CbB using the Assistant. .

It's the much-improved successor to the program that was known as Sonar that stopped development in 2017. Like Doctor Who in 2005 or the James Bond films that started with Casino Royale in 2006, it's not just the latest issue. It's been revamped and is being produced under new management under a different set of principles. Sonar is dead, long live Cakewalk. John Vere
You’re miss reading my post. I am saying it is the latest version not the same version as 11/2017. It is certainly not the latest version of Music Creator

abacab
The first section in this new guide covers what's new since Sonar. CWAF!
