Bajan Blue
V5 was very underwhelming i though so I didn't bother to upgrade from V4 - these days my drum needs are fully covered with SD3 and the many other ones I have!! Nigel
Matthew Sorrels
Try the SSD5 Free/demo. I was going to buy this but the demo made it pretty clear that would be a mistake. 1
RSMcGuitar
I'm going to audio school right now and we're using Trigger 2. Anyone use this or have anything else better to suggest?

Anyone use this or have anything else better to suggest? I'm using it from time to time. While it looks like it is quite old it sounds great imho and gate is sometimes working surprisingly well. Lately I used it only for its gate as it was fastest and with better results than my gate plugins I tried for my application (live recording, lots of bleeds). If you have XLN Audio AD2 you could also consider Addictive Trigger. It is powerful thing and you can use samples from AD2 in it. Unfortunately in Slate you need buy separately samples for SD and Trigger But 'thanks' to it I never considered buying of Slate Drums Edited April 3, 2019 by Piotr
Soundwise
I wonder if anyone uses Cakewalk's own Drum Replacer. When I tried it on a live drum kit, it gave me better results than other triggers, including Addictive Trigger.

Yep, it is interesting Thanks, Alisa, maybe next time I will give a try again for Cakewalk's tool.

You're welcome, Piotr! Since CDR supports sfz libraries here is a hint - get some drum kits from Platinum Samples. Excellent value with great sound. 'Nuff said!
