RSMcGuitar Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I can't remember if this has been posted before, but I just picked up this free synth called Vital. It seems very powerful, yet highly intuitive to use. People are comparing it to Serum (which I have not used)https://vital.audio/ 3
Sander Verstraten Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I played half an hour with it, then bought the pro version. It is intuitive and a lot of fun to use. 1

Fleer Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I’ve been diving into Phase Plant lately, but Vital looks pretty interesting, and free to boot. 1 2
abacab Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I was thinking Vital (I have it) had some similarities to Phase Plant (which I don't have, just impression based on demo vids). Never tried Serum either. Vital might be an up and coming new star! 3
abacab Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Vital is open source! The source code is licensed under the GPLv3. https://github.com/mtytel/vital 1

Peter Hintze Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 I like SURGE as well, it's open source and very powerful. With one of the custom Gui themes it even looks great. https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/ 1
