bitflipper
Thanks for the tip! I have had the pleasure of briefly hanging out with Noel. He is the geek's geek, a kindred spirit for sure. He should be thankful I'm not his next-door neighbor, as I'd be knocking on his door every day begging for a cup of nerd. Oh, hey, is that your wife practicing piano? Sure, I can stay a bit. If you insist.
InstrEd
The podcast was very interesting. I found out Noel was actually offered a job at Bandlab before Bandlab made an offer for Cakewalk and Noel accepted the offer to join Bandlab working on the Bandlab stuff. Meng then proceeded to acquire Cakewalk from Gibson (Yay!) Noel and Ben still are here today making CbB one of the best Windows DAW's IMO

Starship Krupa
I dug how Noel started as a beta tester and then McLeod'd up. Pondering: if he knew COBOL, he could have cleaned up in 1999 when all the old business apps that were written in COBOL had date rollover issues. COBOL programmers were in short supply. I wonder if he cashed in on that skillset.
