Strange empty recording track

Hi,

from time to time it happens that it kind of overwrites my recording and I am not able to make it active again.

It is shown like a empty recording, just the outlines appear.

Tried everything with the setup. I cannot find a pattern behind its appearence neather.

If it happens during recording, check your Recording Mode. Comping, Overwrite and Sound on Sound settings will give different results in terms of how your waveforms are presented.
