Ethan BECK
For those of us using hardware synths, it's necessary to use an Instrument Definition ( .ins ) file so that Cakewalk can most easily access a synth's banks and patches. These were part of the old Cakewalk forum. If you don't still have an active legacy Cakewalk account then it's necessary to create a new one - but account creation for the old site is disabled. This effectively makes this huge and incredibly important resource useless to Cakewalk users. Can this resource please be opened up to the current generation of Cakewalk users ? The biggest strength Cakewalk has always had (even the since the early days of the Twelve Tone versions) is the ease with which it works with 'real' physical hardware synthesizers. Cubase is the next best but it doesn't have the ease of use which Cakewalk have in this area. This is a vitally important part of the website for people using hardware synths and all it needs is the vintage Cakewalk site login restriction removed, or changed to use the new Bandcamp login.
