razor7music
Hello Group Just curious which algorithm you use on distorted guitar chords? I've tried melodic and polyphonic. I just seem to be getting way too much data with polyphonic. Thanks! Edited February 11, 2021 by razor7music
John Vere
I'm not sure distorted sounds can be converted easily. Not surprising your getting extra data. Distortion is all about harmonics and those probably confuse the h... out of Melodyne. Polyphonic is for single note lines like Bass. Melodic would be the correct choice I would think. This would be a good question to ask Celemony people. https://helpcenter.celemony.com/M5/support
Bruno de Souza Lino
Distorted sounds not only have extra harmonics above the fundamental but below it as well. That confuses the algorithm and it's not sure which is the right one.
razor7music
I've never used CW audio snap. Would that work better for slight timing issues with distorted guitar chords?

I take the offending chord ( or whatever) I split it top and tail. Turn snap off, and drag it to the correct placement. Cakewalk will automatically crossfade so I don't normally get any glitches. 2021-02-11 19-07-22.mkv Edited February 12, 2021 by John Vere
