Problem with Copying/Pasting Clips

I recently upgraded to the 2021.01 build of Cakewalk. Now I'm running into a problem where, if I copy a clip in one track and try to paste it into another, the paste works, but the original clip in the original track moves beyond the end of the pasted clip (while remaining in its original track). If I try to drag the clip to its original position, the new clip in the other track moves beyond the end of the original clip (while also remaining in its own track). In other words, I can't align the pasted clip at the same spot in the song as the original clip.  I never had this happen before. I checked all the copy and paste special settings and nothing was selected which should cause this to happen. I've also rebooted and restarted Cakewalk, but the same thing continues to happen.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you happen to have Ripple Edit enabled?

There is a keyboard shortcut that allows you to drag a clip to another track, copying the clip and maintaining alignment at the same time.
I'll see if I can find it or you could look it up in the Help file.
