abacab Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Updates for Analog Lab 5 and Pigments 2 as well.
Frank Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Ups. For me 20 updates and I was on the latest version. 1
locrian Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Does anyone know what "Third Party Resources" refers to on the Analog Lab and Pigments installers?
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Good. I'll make a mental note of not using any Arturia plugins, as they can check for updates that are not for them and open ASC without your concern. 1

cclarry Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Microsoft Visual C++ Libraries would be considered 3rd Party resources I assume, but can't say that that is what this applies to

Most all commercial Windows application software is tied into 3rd party resources, especially those from Microsoft. But there are many other vendors as well that they have to license from. For example, here are the 3rd party resources that Cakewalk by BandLab credits in the "About" screen: 1

I should have mentioned that "Third Party Resources" is one of the options during installation. It's selectable/unselectable. I chose not to install it but wonder if it's necessary for some of the patches to work properly.

I think its the NKS preview sounds for use in Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol. This is a short audio file for the patch that sounds in the KK browser. If you don't use Komplete Kontrol you do not need them. 1

JoeGBradford Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Looks like the AL 5 updates cured the problem I had with favourites and preset change buttons not showing up in CbB (but showing up in Reason). Or maybe it was just reinstalling that solved the issue 1
